As part of the on-going research project “Digital transformation in the Swedish forest industry” in collaboration with Sydved AB, Frida Magnusdotter Ivarsson and Fredrik Svahn from SCDI arranged an industry day at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. The purpose of the day was to share preliminary research results, foster relationships between the industry and academia and stimulate discussions on future opportunities for value creation in the industry with digital technology.
Apart from SCDI and Sydved sharing preliminary research results and experiences from the first year of the research project, representatives from Biometria, Skogsstyrelsen, Skogforsk and RISE were invited to discuss opportunities and challenges with open data in the industry. In the closing cross-industry inspirational block, RISE provided perspectives on sustainability by circular business ecosystems and AstraZeneca on innovation ecosystems.
Slides from the day can be found on http://slideshare.net browsing “Skogens digitalisering” and SCDI welcomes participation for continuing discussion in social media using the hashtag #skogensdigitalisering.
